Terms of Business
1. Introduction
These Terms of Business (“Terms”) govern the provision of occupational health services by Occupational Health Bristol (“OH Bristol”, “we”, “our”, “us”) to clients (“you”, “your”, “the client”). By commissioning services from OH Bristol, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Services Provided
OH Bristol offers a range of occupational health services including, but not limited to:
– Pre-placement health assessments
– Sickness absence assessments
– Health surveillance
– Specialised and licenced work medicals
– Fitness-for-work assessments
– Workplace assessments
– Health promotion and wellbeing services
All services are provided in accordance with current professional standards and UK occupational health guidelines.
3. Appointments and Cancellations
Appointments must be made in advance. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged at 50% rate, cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged at 100% rate. Missed appointments without notification will be fully chargeable.
4. Fees and Payment
Fees for services will be provided upon request and confirmed in writing prior to engagement.
For bookings made via our website, full payment is taken at time of booking.
Invoices are issued upon service delivery and are payable within 30 days of the invoice date.
Late payments may incur statutory interest and administrative charges in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
5. Confidentiality
OH Bristol is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of all client and employee health information. Personal data is held and processed in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Medical information will not be disclosed to employers without the individual’s explicit written consent.
6. Consent
All assessments and procedures are conducted with the informed consent of the employee or individual involved. Individuals have the right to withdraw consent at any stage.
7. Reports and Records
Occupational health reports will be provided to the client following the assessment, subject to the individual’s consent. Medical records are securely retained for the required statutory period and are only accessible by occupational health professionals.
8. Professional Standards
Our practitioners are registered and regulated by appropriate professional bodies (e.g. GMC, NMC, HCPC). All services are delivered in line with SEQOHS standards where applicable.
9. Liability
OH Bristol will provide services with reasonable care and skill. We accept no liability for any indirect, special or consequential loss or damage arising from the provision of our services.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate service provision with 14 days’ written notice. OH Bristol reserves the right to terminate services immediately in the event of breach of these Terms, failure to pay, or inappropriate conduct.
11. Complaints
Complaints should be submitted in writing to OH Bristol. We will acknowledge all complaints within 5 working days and aim to respond fully within 14 days.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
